Entering the Program

Referrals can be made by individuals, family, friends, law enforcement, ministers, probation officers and concerned others. Admission and continued participation is voluntary. An individual may leave the program on their own accord. In the case of a court ordered individual, again the student may leave, but Teen Challenge will then notify the proper authorities. Individuals must commit to completing the entire program before being approved for admission.

The admission process begins by an individual contacting us and requesting an Induction Packet. Make sure to open and download ALL the components below. These are all part of the Induction Packet.

The person desiring to enter the program must contact the Intake Director and complete a phone screen interview prior to being approved for admission. Once a phone screen and application have been completed, an admission date will be scheduled. Our facility remains at capacity most of the time, so an admission date may not be available for several weeks. It is extremely important that an application is submitted in order to secure a date.

Before admission, Teen Challenge requires that all legal matters such as court dates, fines, etc., be taken care of in advance. If an individual is on probation or parole, he needs to get permission from his parole/probation officer to enter the program, and then he needs to have his parole/probation officer call and speak to the Intake Director. They must also make arrangements for their monthly fees to be paid. While in the program, they will not have the opportunity to earn an income to pay these fees.

Fees:

  • To cover admission costs, we require a $650.00 induction fee upon entrance.
  • If the individual is receiving a monthly income from disability, SSI, unemployment, retirement, etc., we require that 35% of that income be given to the program on a monthly basis.
  • We ask that the family contribute what they can on a monthly basis.

If you are interested in entering our program, you may either
email our Intake Director, Cathy Thompson, or contact her by phone at 501-624-2446.
